Bike issues
Someone slashed my tires at school today, so I had to walk my bike home after practice. I stopped by Cupertino Bike Shop to pick up a new inner tube ($6) and headed home to fix up my bike.
6 HOURS LATER…
Done with my bike! I had to salvage a tire from my spare parts collection because my tire was ripped from the slashing. I also accidentally pinched my new inner tube while putting it in, so I had to patch it with a dollar bill (because I”m too cheap to get a new patch set). As I was taking my bike off its stand, I tipped the stand and my bike fell over without its front wheel on, so it landed on my dérailleur and the Y pin got jammed. I spent the next couple hours taking apart the rear shifter to remove the Y pin, then had to rebuild a new cage/short shifter with more parts from my spare parts collection.
